On the fall day of October 30, 1938, Bishop Gannon laid the cornerstone of a dream—a dream that would come to life just a year later when the doors of Blessed Sacrament School opened to its first students in 1939.

What began as a modest school quickly grew into a thriving center of Catholic education, community, and tradition. From the early leadership of the Sisters of Saint Joseph to the vision of Monsignor Connelly and the beloved tenure of Sr. Mary Alice Reed, Blessed Sacrament has been shaped by generations of faithful leaders and passionate educators. In classrooms, cafeterias, and gymnasiums, children grew into young men and women grounded in faith, excellence, and service.

By 1958, over 1,000 students filled its hallways. Additions were built, traditions were formed, and an endowment was established to secure its future. Year after year, one generation passed its legacy to the next—creating bonds that lasted far beyond graduation.

Now, in 2025, we close the final chapter of this extraordinary story. With full hearts, we give thanks for over 85 years of Catholic education, thousands of students, and countless memories made within these walls.

Though our building may close, the spirit of Blessed Sacrament lives on—in every classroom where a Bulldog once sat, in every parish event rooted in tradition, and in every family whose story is forever marked by this school.

To all who walked these halls, taught with love, served with joy, and believed in the mission—thank you. You were—and will always be—Blessed Sacrament.
